•These past few years have seen things go from strength to strength for the new Fabrik Madrid resident DJ Ken Fan, as well being the brains behind Around the World in 80 Raves, the old Miss Moneypennys and Chuff Chuff Resident DJ Ken Fan has been playing regularly around the globe to destinations such as Brazil, Columbia, Dubai, China, South Africa, Miami, Moscow, Hong Kong, & Ibiza. • •British born Chinese Ken had been nominated for the house music awards for Pioneers best break through DJ, which proved he is one of the leaders of the new skool but with an old skool attitude. This breakthrough DJ award came just 14 years after spinning his first tune; the career has seen Ken in the form of DJ, Promoter, Producer, Remixer, Radio Host, DJ record shop owner and an all round house music fanatic. Ken quotes Djs such as Sasha, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, LTJ Buckam and Top Buzz as the guys that inspired him at such an early age. • •Ken has a passion for all aspects of house music be it deep, funky, techy, minimal, dirty or soulful, so he has the ability to take his crowds on that all elusive musical journeys. Ken regularly plays with the masters of there trade, be it Sasha, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, David Morales, Danny Rampling, Graeme Park, Ron Carol or his old mentor Jim Shaft Ryan. • •Ken has regularly graced the decks and has headlined the most beautiful party venues in the world, these venues, parties or festivals have included Pacha Ibiza, Pacha London, and Pacha Sao Paulo Brazil, El Divino Ibiza, Purgatory Cape Town, various exclusive parties in Miami, BCM Mallorca, Bonds/HQ Birmingham, Chi & Club 360 Dubai, la cha cha & Gotica in Columbia, Thompson’s Belfast, Gods kitchen, Global Gathering, Escape in the park, Love Leeds festival, The Egg London, Brazil carnival, Cream, Mao, Muse 2, Attica in Shanghai, oh and not to forget the mighty Chuff Chuff parties which he was a resident of for over 9 years. • •Past production projects have seen Ken remix Simon Harris “Bass” which was released on Simply vinyl, but Kens natural sound evolved when he went back to his routes to which he produced the awesome club smash hit called “ground control” which was released on Berwick street records early in 2008 and was featured on the compilation of Dj magazines Christmas issue as well as topping the charts on most download sites including Beatport. • Kens next monster release “Night of Debauchery” which was a collaboration with Whizz kid Mark Maitland which was released on In.Toxikate recordings which had been remixed by young Italian rising techno star Marshall. •Next up: Go Deeper was a track that he produced whilst he was on tour in Brazil. This track was a project with his friends “The Funky cats” from Belo Horizonte, “Go Deeper” was released on Planet B.E.N records from Japan early on in 2009. • •Ken has also been doing the A&R for the Miss Moneypennys record label for the past few years and has signed some profiled tracks in the past including Tom Novys “your body” which was later released on Ministry Of Sounds Data records in 2005, this track gained top 10 national chart success in the UK and all across the world. • •Ken had been boasting a monthly radio show on a modest seven stations in seven different countries these shows were aired on Alpha radio Bulgaria, Push fm London, Oasis FM Tenerife, Beat fm Costa Del Sol, In Da Klub Italy, Energy fm Cyprus, and HFM in Ibiza. • •Future projects for Ken are to carry on his “Around The world in 80 Raves” charity fundraising campaigns for Cancer Research, as well as releasing a long list of tracks from all genres of the house music spectrum which will include an exciting e.p with Timmy Vegas called “The Dragon e.p” which is released on Timmys Universe media label, also Kens “The Progression e.p”, and his Chinese whispers e.p which are both to be released on Seamless black later on in the summer 09. •Ken production & DJ skills have gained massive support from the industries most illustrious names from Carl Cox, Joey Beltram, Roger Sanchez, D Ramirez, James Zabelia, Lutzenkichen, John Aquaviva, Alex Kenji, Dubfire, Robert Owens, Nick Warren to name a few, so there is no doubt that Ken will be the one to look out for in the future of house music.
